Portes Dimensions also manufactures high-end interior/exterior solid wood doors and distributes interior veneered wood and masonite doors.
High-end interior/exterior solid wood doors are available in a wide range of models and standard species, but of course all doors can be built to your specifications. Custom doors are our specialty, and we regularly produce sliding patio doors, exterior bistro/veranda style bifold doors, garage door panels, etc. With wood and our expertise, anything is possible! At our plant, projects are dealt with one at a time to ensure outstanding quality and production flexibility. Moreover, factory finishing is readily available. Some or our skilled tradespeople have been with us for over 15 years.
Interior doors are available in superior quality veneered wood and in masonite. We are assembly specialists, using state-of-the-art equipment.
High-End Wood Windows
Our top-of-the-line wood door department has recently created two types of wood windows: a traditional casement window and a tilt-and-turn window. The latter is presently in production. The two new products have been laboratory-tested, and they both surpass industry standards. The look and finish or the product will leave no one indifferent, and is available in Spanish cedar, western cedar and clear pine. All other species available upon quotation.
Finishing
Recently available at Dimensions Doors, factory finishing of wood doors or
windows offers a wide variety of standard or custom colours. Four types of
finish are available: standard, hand-shaved, antiqued and "Distress" polyurethane.
Colour samples or types of finish are available from some of our distributors or on our Web site.
Factory finishing will ensure a high quality product, will protect your investment and will save you time.
Moreover, you'll receive one litre of the product with your purchase for touch-ups.
Should you protect your wooden doors and windows using a water or oil-based coating?
Dimensions Doors Finishing Service offers you the best of both worlds by using eco-friendly Sansin products.
Our oil and natural modified resin-based finishing, done at our facilities, deeply penetrates the wood's cell
structure thanks to one of nature's best-known miracles: water. When water evaporates, the Sansin stain imbeds
itself in the wood's substrate, forming a durable and resistant barrier. Each door or window will be assembled
and disassembled before being treated in order to offer the best quality finish available. The product will then
be reassembled and inspected prior to delivery.
To give your door that new look, nothing's easier: wash your door with a bland multipurpose soap and sand lightly.
Next, apply a new coat of Sansin stain by following the recommended guidelines. This product can be ordered directly
from Dimensions Doors by the litre.
Our constant goal being to always offer you the best service, three types of Sansin finishes are
available in 9 standard colours or tints, and a polyurethane-based available in colour tint only:
- Standard PDSA, colour only
- Antique PDANSA, colour and antique finish
- Hand-shaved PDHSSA, colour and hand-shaved finish
- "Distress" PDOPDS, opaque polyurethane colour and "Distress" finish
Finish is covered by a one-year warranty against peeling and cracking following product delivery to the distributor.
Cracking of the wood is not considered a defect unless it hinders the product's operation.
The clear sealing joints applied around the panels at the factory must always remain in place to avoid water infiltrations.
The door must be protected by an overhang protruding by at least 2/3 the height of the door, and must be free of reasonable
snow accumulation. Should door warping of more than 1/4'' occur, the door and finishing supplied by Dimensions Doors
will be replaced at no cost; refer to our product warranty for further information. All return of merchandise must be
previously authorized by a representative of DIMENSIONS DOORS.

Warranty and finishing instructions
All six faces of the product must absolutely be treated without delay.
If the door includes a sweep, it must be removed by the consumer in order to treat the bottom of the door.
Failure to treat it will void the warranty.
The choice of finish is up to the consumer.
However, we recommend oil-based stains for colours, followed by UV-resistant varnish for the exterior.
We suggest that you deal with a professional to finish your door in order to adequately protect your investment.
